Meet Dr Bridget Wieckowski
It’s great to meet you (virtually)! I am passionate about providing psychological testing in a human-to-human way. Utilizing therapeutic assessment, I believe that people are the experts on themselves and that my role is to guide you professionally through deepening your understanding of yourself.
My journey to becoming a psychologist started at UC Davis in 2011. In the beginning, I thought I’d be interested in a career as a pediatrician or a teacher because of how much I loved working with children and families. As I learned more about the field of psychology, I quickly realized that my brain was also very interested in numbers, data, and research. Becoming a therapist and assessor tied my passion for getting to know people with my logical mind.
Through graduate school at The Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA and completion of a predoctoral internship at Ann Martin Center and postdoctoral internship at Kaiser Pleasanton, I gained extensive knowledge about working with kids, teens, and adults in homes, schools, clinics, and hospital settings. With all ages and locations one thing became clear to me: the importance of listening with non-judgmental curiosity.
As an assessor and therapist, I seek to walk alongside you and use our combined wisdom to explore your questions. My goal is to meet with you when you feel ready to take the next step.
